Shallow the golf club — it’s a term we hear so very often but it is also a tough concept for most players to grasp.
Today our DogLegNews Director of Instruction, Josh Koch, shows us some great drills that will teach you and most important — help you get the right feel for properly shallowing the golf club.
Josh starts with a one-handed, waist high drill that isn’t very complicated and it will help you get an understanding of what it feels like when the club is shallowing out and loading properly before the club face strikes the golf ball.
Josh then demonstrates with a great practice tool by Orange Whip — the Orange Whip wedge. If you go to a PGA Tour event, you will see a lot of Orange Whip products in the bags of the pros on the driving range.
Josh goes from the one hand on the wedge to two hands and uses the Orange Whip.
Pay close attention, these drills will DEFINITELY help you with your game.
Shallow the club properly, dynamically, as Josh demonstrates, and you’ll be well on your way to producing better shots.
