Henrik Stenson says there’s a very slight tear toward the back of the meniscus in his right knee after he reviewed the results of an MRI performed this week.
“We’ll just see how it goes,” said Stenson, who didn’t look any worse for the wear as he prepared for Thursday’s Pro-Am at the Deutsche Bank.
He finished runnerup in this event last year to Rickie Fowler.
Stenson withdrew after the second round of the Barclays last week at Bethpage Black.
The Open Champion is currently ranked 21st in the FedEx Cup standings, down from 14th going into the Barclays.
Stenson is paired with Bubba Watson and Jason Dufner, going off the first tee Friday morning at 9:15.
