Someone in Scotland has a sense of humor.
Seems there was a small plaque that appeared suddenly one day on a park bench in Edinburgh that read:
“The members of Muirfield Golf Club are hereby excluded from sitting on this bench.”
“By order of the female population of Edinburgh.”
No clue as to how it got there but it wasn’t there for long. The Edinburgh City Council deemed it was placed illegally and has since been removed.
The membership at Muirfield was supposed to reconsider admitting women to club membership but has yet to do so.
