Michael Thompson had a weekend to remember in Boise, if that’s possible, but he did and earned his way back onto the PGA Tour.
Thompson had weekend rounds of 64-64 and earned a three-shot victory at the Boise Open. He shot 23-under par, easily besting runnerup Miguel Angel Carballo, who finished at 20-under par.
This was the second stop of the Web.com finals.
Another player who finished high enough to earn his tour card for 2016-17 was England’s Andrew “Beef” Johnston. He took solo fourth at 17-under par.
The finals series move to Columbus, Ohio this week for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital event at Ohio State’s famous Scarlet course.
