There was a time when Tiger Woods wouldn’t get out of bed for $60,000.
It took north of $1,000,000 for a one day appearance.
Yet there he was, making his first appearance since August knee surgery at the Japan Skins where he watched Jason Day win $210,000.
N0 doubt Woods was paid a lot more than that to show up but no one’s talking about that. Tiger did manage to walk away with $60,000, a decent practice round for this week’s Zozo Championship.
This was the seventh time Tiger’s been in a skins game. He’s never won one, which goes to show what these exhibitions mean to him. Nothing.
All eyes will be on him this week to see how much rust is on his game and what might be in store for 2020. He’ll make one more start, at his Hero World Challenge in December.
Tiger turns 44 in December and outside his win at The Masters last season, the rest of his campaign was pretty forgettable.
