First, we now know that Tiger Woods lied when he declared himself “pain-free” after that most recent back surgery.
He’s not pain free, he’s pumping meds of all sorts and that came to light after his DUI arrest last month in Jupiter.
Woods has now gone on the record that he is seeking help of some sort.
Woods took to Twitter this week and made this declaration:
“I’m currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the way I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder.”
Of course, Woods is always ambiguous, never gives complete information, never has, never will.
Tiger Woods doesn’t need to “manage” his medications, he needs to get rid of them altogether. What he’s implying is that he cannot get around without his meds, and that doesn’t bode well for any sort of return to golf, any time soon or probably any time ever.
Woods won’t admit that. He’s pulling in $37 million from a number of companies, including a golf club company when he can’t use any golf clubs. He’s pulling some of that big money from a golf ball company when he cannot use their golf balls. Who knows if he drinks Monster energy drinks? For a guy with a self-admitted sleep disorder, the last thing he’d want to use is a 16-ounce shot of those caffeine-laden drinks.
So no, Woods doesn’t use any of the things he endorses.
This Tiger Woods comeback stuff is getting old. It has become obvious that Woods has a long way to go just to try and function normally and get from place-to-place without experiencing pain. Right now, he cannot do it without medication and it’s become all to obvious that he has developed some degree of dependency on prescription medications.
The sad story, the sad chapters in the Book Of Woods continue.
