Tiger Woods has full medical clearance to start the Fifteen Annual Tiger Woods Comeback Reality Show.
After eyeballing El Tiger hitting iron shots last week then seeing him pull out driver, various scribes and TV talking heads thought it might be a good idea to check in with Woods’ major domo — Mark Stineberg, aka The Great Stiney.
Stineberg actually delivered the goods:
“Tiger met with his doctor last week and got a good report saying he can proceed down the path to continue to hit golf balls with no restrictions,” said The Great Stiney, who claimed ignorance, saying he is unsure if Woods has played a round of golf yet. “He’s going to take that news with enthusiasm but caution as well.”
Now the next chapter is obviously a documented round at The Medalist and someone will swear up and down that Eldrick shot 62 or 63 or some other ridiculously low number. Tiger’s former teacher, Hank Haney eyeballed the swing videos and declared Tiger’s new action: “A swing he can win with.” Can’t you just hear Tiger’s countless minions squealing in ecstasy?
That will be followed by more phone calls to Stiney who will swear up and down that Woods is going to take things slow this time around.
Will he play at Albany like he did last year when he actually broke 70 and had his minions giddy with delight.
A missed cut at The Farmers then a WD in Dubai and it was all over for 2017.
Which brings us back full circle.
