It was a sunny afternoon outside Paris Saturday, many players were in their shirtsleeves.
Tiger Woods never took his rain pants off and wore high-tech outerwear normally reserved for very cold weather.
It was evident that Tiger Wood’s 42-year-old body simply couldn’t get warm.
Woods also looked tired and out of gas, something to be expected — it’s been a long season and his 80th win at East Lake obviously took a lot out of him. Then add a seven-hour plane flight, practice rounds, the gala, the opening ceremony and although he might not want to admit it, Woods is one tired cat.
He’s also winless through the first two days at Le Golf National in the 42nd Ryder Cup.
“Just pretty pissed off,” Woods said. “The fact that I lost three matches, and didn’t feel like I played poorly. That’s the frustrating thing about match play. We can play well
and nothing can happen.”
Woods lost in the morning four-ball with Patrick Reed then lost again in the afternoon foursomes with Bryson DeChambeau as his partner.
The struggles this week drop Woods’ career Ryder Cup record to 13-20-3. He has not won a match since 2010, when he beat Molinari in singles at Celtic Manor.
