The good news is that Tiger Woods is vertical.
That’s a step forward in and of itself.
Woods was vertical enough and feeling well enough to make the jaunt to the Big Apple this week to appear on some morning talk shows and to peddle his newest book about him winning the 1997 Masters.
Strangely enough, it’s not Woods’ past that has everyone curious these days, it’s his future.
Woods dropped in at ABC’s Good Morning America show as part of the Pimp My Book Tour and naturally they asked about the first week in April and that event in Georgia.
“God I hope so,” Woods said of his desire to be in the field at the 2017 Masters. “I’m trying, I’m trying everything to be able to get back and play. I love that event. It’s meant so much to me in my life. It has so much history and meaning to me. I’d love to get back.”
Woods has not played since he withdrew before the second round of the Dubai Desert Classic in February.
There was one report that said there’s no way he’ll play and Woods’ camp responded to that with his watchdog — the incredible Stiney, aka Mark Stineberg, refuting that claim.
If Woods is going to play, he better be get strong enough to start practicing again and it appears the only thing he’s been able to do is putt.
This should be interesting. Sixteen short days until they tee it up at The Masters. All the top contenders are playing and rounding into form while Woods is signing books.
Think he’ll play?
Stay tuned on this one.
