Tiger Woods will not play in Charlotte this week.
Odds are he won’t be at the Players Championship either.
But he is making room reservations in Jacksonville Beach as well as Dublin, Ohio for The Memorial.
And it is Jack Nicklaus’ event that may well be his first event back.
Consider that he is comfortable at Muirfield Village. He’s won there three times.
Also consider that he desperately wants to play in the U.S. Open at Oakmont and needs at least one start to make that happen which brings us back to the Memorial.
In typical Woods fashion, he’s not talking. But he is making reservations.
Just in case.
