The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has finally released the Tiger Woods toxicology report.
Wow, was Tiger Woods totally blasted!
The report revealed that Woods had four major drugs in his system and also had THC, which indicates he had used marijuana as well.
Here’s the Tiger Woods drug roll call:
Hydrocodone: The generic for Vicodin.
Hydromorphone: The painkiller known as Dilaudid.
Alprazolam: Commonly known as Xanax, a mood and sleep enhancer.
Zolpidem: A sleep-enhancing drug commonly known as Ambien.
Then there’s the THC.
Medical marijuana is legal in Florida so Woods could well have had a weed prescription.
It was not known if he had prescriptions for the other four drugs.
The sad fact is that anyone with any common sense knows that there’s no way you can take all four of those drugs, smoke some marijuana and expect to function to any reasonable degree.
Woods announced earlier that he had completed some sort of speedy program but fell short of referring to it as drug rehabilitation.
Last Wednesday, a Palm Beach County prosecutor said Woods agreed to plead guilty to a reduced charge of reckless driving and enter the county’s program for first-time DUI offenders. If he completes the program, he can ask a judge to expunge the charge from his record.
In the meantime, golf just completed the 2017 major championship season and the sport has moved on without Woods.
On Monday, Woods released this statement:
“As I previously said, I received professional help to manage my medications. Recently, I had been trying on my own to treat my back pain and a sleep disorder, including insomnia, but I realize now it was a mistake to do this without medical assistance. I am continuing to work with my doctors, and they feel I’ve made significant progress. I remain grateful for the amazing support that I continue to receive and for the family and friends that are assisting me. Regarding my back, I recently spoke to my surgeon and he’s very pleased with how my fusion is healing. I’m right on schedule. I’m now doing some light lifting, riding a stationary bike and putting a little.”
