The Friday deadline for Tiger Woods to enter the Wells Fargo championship in Charlotte came and went and he will not be in next week’s field at Quail Hollow.
Woods is in Las Vegas hosting his Tiger Jam charity concert and he expressed his frustration:
“I’m sick and tired of being on the sidelines. I want to start competing against these boys. I miss it.”
Woods will remain on the sidelines for now. There had been heavy speculation, especially by The Golf Channel, that Woods might play in Charlotte.
His next decision is will he or won’t he play in the Players Championship, the PGA Tour’s flagship event that he has won twice.
