Don’t look now but there’s another pretty good player in Jupiter named Woods.
Charlie Woods, Tiger’s 11-year-old son, has won the last two junior events he’s competed in.
Charlie won a nine-hole U.S. Kids event by five shots, shooting a three-under par 33. His latest win came last week at a PGA South Florida Section event. He shot a one-under par 35.
He has a pretty decent instructor — his dad.
“It’s been a blast,” Tiger said of working with Charlie. “I’m still winning, for now. He’s starting to get into it. He’s asking the right questions. It’s a lot of fun.”
Does the son of Tiger have future on the PGA Tour?
“Depends on how bad he wants it,” Tiger said quickly. “It’s all on him.”
UK Swing Wraps Up At The Belfry:
The European Tour’s “UK Swing” will conclude this week, starting Thursday at the Belfry, site of four Ryder Cup matches.
The Tour put together a series of six events in close proximity to restart the European Tour after the COVID-19 cancellations.
An event hasn’t been staged at the Belfry since the 2008 British Masters. Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano was the winner that year.

How much could tiger charge per hour starting a career as an instructor right now?
Imo The highest around for sure.
Like JDay, Charlie is a lucky boy to have the goat on their side. For free.

Even more important is the mental side of the game; I believe Tiger is teaching Charlie to have fun with it; Too many parents pressure their kids, wanting them to play well; Years ago I witnessed a promising junior at one of our private clubs, practicing with her father berating her the entire session; Shook my head and thought “one day she’ll just quit the game.” She was slated for a scholarship to the Univ. of Florida but quit the game.
