Tiger Woods said last month that he would play in next week’s Safeway Open.
There was only one problem.
As of Thursday, he hadn’t officially committed to play in the event.
In typical Tiger Woods fashion, he committed just hours before Friday’s 5 p.m. deadline.
So now, it’s official.
Golf’s most anticipated comeback will happen starting next Thursday at the Silverado Country Club in Napa.
Wine for everyone!
The tournament has been promoting Woods’ return for weeks now, a risk considering Woods is prone to change his mind often.
But now it looks like it will happen.
Apparently Jesper Parnevik, who used to be totally pissed off at Woods, was admiring Tiger’s latest practice session at The Medalist and announced that Woods was “hitting everything flush.”
So now we will wait and see how flush it is on the golf course next Thursday when it really counts.
