Everyone wants longer drives and straighter iron shots but have you ever thought about changes you need in your setup to produce better drives and better iron shots?
Today we’re bringing in our longtime friend Larry Rinker, a member of one of Florida’s most famous golfing family. Larry played the PGA Tour for nearly two decades and today is an accomplished teacher with winter schools in Orlando and summer schools in Colorado (lucky Larry).
Larry’s going to take you through a detailed analysis using high tech computer numbers and film to help you understand how the swing and setup differs from your driver to your irons.
Pay attention and you’ll see Larry is farther behind the ball with driver, his head is closer to the ball for his iron swing.
His driver swing comes in slightly under the plane to produce that wonderful “speed slot” that Rory McIlroy uses. His swing path is right and up to produce the impact needed for longer tee shots.
His swing with the seven-iron in this lesson is more on plane with a path that is slightly left of the target to produce more accurate shots.
