Don’t look now Boston but there’s this nasty mass of weather moving up the east coast.
The folks at the PGA Tour are experienced weather-watchers and you know they’ll be keeping an eye on the path and progress of Hermine, a storm that reached the Florida coast Thursday night/Friday morning as a hurricane, weakened but is still full of wind and water.
Hermine’s path will take it up the east coast which means the Labor Day weekend could end up a wash in many areas.
Could hit Boston on Monday and that’s the scheduled final round for the Deutsche Bank. The event traditionally wraps up on Labor Day but the forecast could change all of that.
The Monday forecast calls for a 90 percent chance of rain with winds in excess of 20 miles per hour. Tuesday is only slightly better with a 60 percent chance of rain.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday look just fine. The solution might be pretty simple — 36 holes on Sunday.
