Weebles wobble and so, apparently, does Danny Willett.
The current Masters champion fell apart badly on the back nine at Wentworth Saturday and spent moving day at the European PGA moving in the wrong direction.
Four bogeys coming home spelled a 41 for Willett and a round of 76 that dropped him back to six-under par and three back of leader Scott Hend.
Hend didn’t play much better than Willett as the final pairing was struggling all day. Hend rescued his round at the par five 18th when he launched a huge drive and had just an eight-iron for his approach. He stuck it to five feet, holed the putt for 73 and finished nine-under.
Englishman Tyrell Hatton made the biggest move of the day. His 66 moved him into second, eight-under and he’ll play in the final pairing with Hend on Sunday.
Lee Westwood’s 68 got him within two, he’s a seven-under with former PGA champion Y.E. Yang, whose 75 dropped him into third with Westwood.
