Tiger Woods started his career with a Titleist golf ball.
He thrived for most of his career with a Nike golf ball.
He may be wrapping up his career with a Bridgestone.
Woods has signed a multi-year deal to play the Bridgestone brand, his ball of choice is the Tour B-S330. He put it in play for 72 holes at his Hero World Challenge earlier this month.
This is the first brand of any sort that Woods has committed to after Nike’s exit from the equipment world.
“Tiger did a lot of testing but this si the one that came out to his liking. It was always about finding out what was best for him and what he liked best before putting together the structure of a deal,” said Woods’ deal-maker — agent Mark Stineberg.
Woods is still testing clubs.
He had problems with the TaylorMade M2 driver he used during the Hero World Challenge, putting it in the bag for most of the final round when he shot 76.
He used his old set of Nike irons and it may be a while before he considers replacing those as his iron game was the strongest part of his performance at Albany.
