Today’s lesson is a great one!
DogLegNews teaching guru Josh Koch gets with fellow instructor Dana Dahlquist and today’s topic covers a move that just about every low, medium and high handicap golfer struggles with.
What is the proper position/motion of the trail elbow and shoulder in the golf swing?
Josh and Dana will review footage of long driver Kyle Berkshire, PGA Tour star Dustin Johnson and all-time great Lee Trevino to give you a great visual.
Too many golfers take that trail elbow and move it toward the ball, toward the middle of their bodies.
Truth be known, the most effective move is for that trail elbow to move down and toward the right hip/right pocket to start the downward motion.
That also keeps the right shoulder from moving forward as well.
It’s easy to practice this indoors, even without a club in your hand.
Perfect this move and you’ll hit more solid shots.
Pay attention to this one, it’s another great one from Josh.
