One of the greatest or most infuriating things about golf, depending which way you look at it, is even if you hit what looks like being the perfect shot, there can still be something which makes the next shot tricky. Imagine teeing off on a par-4 and you strike a lovely drive, down the middle of the fairway, setting up what looks like an easy approach to the green. However, when you address the ball, it becomes apparent it is actually sitting below your feet. All of the a sudden, this shot becomes a little tougher than expected. Today, we have a great tip on how to successful play the ball from below your feet.
When the ball is below the feet, there is a tendency for players to catch the ball thin, which will send the ball out to the right (for a right handed golfer), on a low trajectory and away from the target. The key thing to remember when playing a ball which is lying below the feet, is that the ball is actually further away from you. Due to the slope, the ball is not as close as it would be, if the ground you were standing on was flat, so this needs to be taken in to consideration, when playing the shot.
Firstly, you will need to bend your knees further, to bring yourself closer to the golf ball. The best way to do this, is to think as if you are sitting into the slope, as this will also help you to achieve a good balance, prior to hitting the shot. Balance is important, because it is easy to fall forward, when playing on a slope.
With the correct stance in place, grip the club as close to the end of the grip as possible, whilst maintaining full control of the club. This will give the club some extra length, making it as long as possible.
As mentioned above, due to the steeper swing angle of the club, the ball tends to hit from left to right for a right handed player and vice versa for left handed player. Therefore, you need to aim slightly left of the target, in order to compensate and allow the ball to fade back in.
Finally, always take a club more than you usually would for the distance you need to hit the ball. This will allow you to take an easier swing at the ball and will aid in keeping your balance during the shot.

I wish the lettering was darker as us older people have a problem seeing them.
