Jimmy Buffett on a golf course?
Can’t be.
Golf is not really Jimmy’s gig and typically there are too many Republicans at golf clubs and that would make Buffett a bit uncomfortable to say the least.
Yet there was the Mogul Of Margaritaville at the Chicago Golf Club, site of this week’s USGA Women’s Senior Open Championship.
Seems Jimmy put down his guitar and left the Coral Reefer Band long enough to tote a golf bag during a Monday practice round.
Jimmy’s been an avid surfer most of his life, of course, and his Margaritaville empire happens to sponsor a surf team.
Travel and event manager for the Margaritaville Surf Team is Patricia Ehrhart. She also happens to be a really, really good golfer. She’s so good she made it to the semi-finals of the Senior Women’s Amateur last year and thus earned a spot in this week’s Senior Women’s Open. Oh yes, we forgot, Ehrhart also happens to be Buffett’s niece. Thanks Uncle Jimmy!
Buffett, who never misses a photo-op, was on the bag for her Monday practice round.
Not sure if he wore shoes or not, he’s typically barefoot when he appears on stage.
Buffett and the Coral Reefers played in Cincinnati Tuesday night and he’s back in Chicago-land for a Friday night gig at Wrigley Field.
