Bad news for the rest of the ladies out there on the LPGA Tour:
Inbee Park is back and her injured left thumb is feeling really good now.
It’s feeling so good that Inbee, the Queen Bee, is the 36-hole leader at the HSBC Singapore.
She’s got a pair of 67s on the board and at 10-under par, takes a one-shot lead into the weekend.
There’s even bigger news for American golfers.
Michelle Wie has recovered from tweaking her back a couple of weeks ago. Wie did something she hasn’t done in seemingly forever — she held the first round lead with a six-under par 66 and she did it with a conventional putting grip.
Wie followed that up with a 69 on Friday and she’s just a shot behind Park at nine-under par.
In that ongoing 1-2 battle between Lydia Ko and Ariya Jutanugarn, Jutanugarn is in the nine-under group with Wie and M.J. Hur while Ko is just three back at seven-under par.
Americans Paula Creamer and Mo Martin were in a six-under par.
