Masters Week Finally! Wet Weather And That Monster Called Bryson - Dog Leg News

About the author

Tom Edrington

Tom Edrington spent the first 10 years of his misguided youth as a sports writer for the Tampa Tribune. His career brought him face to face with many of sports greatest stars -- Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Muhammad Ali, Don Shula, countless Hall of Fame NFL stars, more PGA Tour players than he can count. In 1980 he was honored by the Golf Writers Association of America for writing the best news story that year, his coverage of Jack Nicklaus' U.S. Open victory at Baltusrol. Today, 36 years later, golf is still a great part of his life, thanks to competitive playing days and the wonderful people he has met on this fabulous journey.

I don’t understand what Jordan was talking about.
The green reading will be a disadvantage for Bryson.
This could be a euro upset year with the confirmed bad weather. Guys like Hatton, and any other players from cold or playing in the cold have a bit more advantage.
Super sad. No Sergio. And not no Niemann. Ortiz’ win is another reminder spanish speakers are winning more and more on the big tours. Eventually they too will steal majors here and there; especially Rahm of course.

Disadvantage referred to no greens-reading books, the ones Bryson stares at for at least two minutes on every green; It’s going to be wet, not that cold….

Yes I got the disadvantage part.
I didn’t get right away the bryson has to lose it not to win it thing from Spieth. And the 1000 yard reference.

        But I get them now.

Jordan is saying bryson will win unless he chokes or makes too many mistakes because the fairways are so wide for him.

I disagree. Bryson will have to earn it like everyone lose.

Yes he will be hitting crazy short clubs but so will many other guys. Brooks. DJ. Rory. Tony. List goes on.

The green reading will be crucial and a huge disadvantage for the guy whom spends more time reading paper than greens.

Brysons anchored wrists may not be tested but his eyes will.

Of course if you don’t know a lot about each and every green at Augusta National by now, where you been ?

I was hoping for some wind this Masters. But it looks like Thursday will be the most under 15mph. Around here we call that a calm day.

With heat in the 80s and softness from rain It really should be a bombers paradise. But I’m not handing it to the lead bomber.

I know this isn’t Toms prediction article, but I’m liking Rory. T8 at us open and top 25s at zozo and CJ. It time.

Baxter: We’re working on our favorite(s), Rory’s up there but like my sister says: “Rory will disappoint you every time.”

With all due respect to your sister the guy has 2 cups (despite our continued unhappiness with the finale), enough majors to already be on the all time list, and countless wins on the pga tour and around the globe.

If rory is disappointing, where does that leave 99% of other golf pros?

She’s talking about LATELY, she only started checking on Rory about a year ago…..what’s he done since then?? My neighbor Lucy lives and dies on every putt Rory misses, she’s been so down lately because he hasn’t done a lot, maybe this is his week to complete the career Grand Slam!
