If you watched last week’s Presidents Cup matches, you saw that the United States team had the better putters. And that’s what it takes for a team to win these things — Presidents Cup, Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup, Walker Cup — you name it.
Best putting team typically wins.
One of the strengths of the U.S. team was their distance control on putts and today, PGA Tour veteran member Larry Rinker had a really, really good drill for you to help you with that oh so important distance control on the greens.
Putting is still a part of the game that requires feel. Doesn’t matter what sort of new fangled putter you get, even those new $600-plus Scotty Camerons.
You still have to have good feel to become a good putter.
So listen up, pay attention as Larry gives you a really, really simple drill that will help your distance control on the greens.
