Tiger Woods is still in big-time recovery mode with his shattered right leg still healing.
The last time anyone saw Woods, he was taking a look at the rebuilding of his impressive short game practice area at his expansive Jupiter Island compound.
Woods was on crutches with his leg in a removable cast/boot.
He’s been visited by Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler. The consensus is that Tiger is in good spirits.
George Savaricas from The Golf Channel may have been consulting with some physicians to see where exactly Tiger is in the recovery process.
This week, Savaricas put out this Tweet:
“Hearing TW at the point in the healing process where the next benchmark is for blood circulation to get back to normal in his injured right foot. Once this happens, recovery timelines will fall into place.”
The only thing certain about the Woods recovery process is that it will take time — a lot of time. It will be a stretch to see him play in 2022 but you know he has his sites set on returning at the 2022 Masters in 13 months.
In the meantime, Tiger has fallen out of the top 100 in the Official World Golf Rankings, checking in at No. 103 this week.
Super Golf League Reps Meet With Player Agents At Kiawah:
Somewhere away from the golf course, representatives from the slimy Saudi money-backed proposed Super Golf League met with player agents on Tuesday evening.
With the Premier Golf League dying a slow death, the Super Golf League is the idea stolen by the Saudis and has a “franchise owner” model, proposed massive purses and contracts that reportedly offer players anywhere from $30-to-$50 million to sign on.
Some players commented on Tuesday afternoon, Lee Westwood was on of them.
“There’s pluses and minuses for everything,” said Westwood, who has been linked to the start-up circuit in some reports. “They’ve obviously got a lot of money and they’ve come out and sent a few shock waves about and people feel threatened. You know, the people that feel threatened are trying to combat it.”
Westwood said he hasn’t been approached to be a “franchise owner” but if he were, his position was clear.
“For me at nearly 50 it’s a no-brainer, isn’t it? If somebody stood here and offered me 50 million quid to play golf when I’m 48, it’s a no-brainer,” he said.

Long time indeed.
But it’s hopeful he has a chance to at least appear at the Masters in ‘22. And then go from there.
No disrespect to savaricas whom does a good job since he stood out moons ago from other reporters as golf channel bored us with talking heads and no highlights for ‘golfs longest day’.
But this is not news. George talking to a doctor—probably not tigers doctor— or doing google research on fracture recovery is hardly an update on Tiger.
The updates from fellow players are still the best information that things are progressing.
It would be nice to get another update direct from the horses mouth (or Twitter account) soon.

Agreed!
