Tony Finau didn’t have a lot back in the days in the Rose Park neighborhood of Salt Lake City.
Golf lessons and greens fees were out of the question for his very working class family.
Fast forward to 2018 and Tony Finau is one of golf’s rising stars an played well enough to earn a spot on the 2018 Ryder Cup team.
He’s back at home and The Tony Finau Foundation is very busy this week. He’s used his star power to gather food, especially big turkeys and his efforts will provide Thanksgiving dinner for no less than 1,000 families in need on Thanksgiving Day.
Tony’s been regularly giving back to his old neighborhood and its residences.
The Tony Finau Foundation is busy and it’s mission is admirable:
The Tony Finau Foundation is built on a family discovered experience through the game of golf. It aims to empower and inspire youth and their families to discover, develop, and achieve the best of their gifts and talents through the game of golf, educational funding, and core family values.
But first things first, Tony wants to make sure that no one in the old neighborhood goes without on Thanksgiving.
Good to see these good things from one of golf’s good guys.
