You might have noticed that Collin Morikawa got ready to his his tee shot on the 18th and final hole of the Open Championship last Sunday then suddenly backed off.
The distraction?
There were farting noises emanating from somewhere near the 18th tee at Royal St. George’s.
Morikawa recounted the bizarre incident on a podcast last week.
“Louie (Oosthuizen), his caddie, my caddie, we all knew it was a farting noise. But we seriously thought it was from the spectators. We thought someone was playing it on their phone.
The marshals were all looking, we’re looking around, the marshal digs in the grass and pulls this little recorder out. What’re the odds of that happening?”
Someone was pretty darn clever.
When the dogs from our Dog House heard about this, they were entirely enthralled.
They’ve issued an open invitation for the person to come plant the same recorder just outside the Dog House so they can entertain themselves.
Truth be known — dogs love farting!
