Harry Diamond broke a cardinal rule for caddies last Friday morning at the Scottish Open.
While his man, Rory McIlroy was waiting to tee off with Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas, a brazen spectator walks up on the tee box, rips the headcover off Rory’s driver then casually pulls one of Rory’s irons out of the bag — all the while, caddie Harry Diamond just stood there and watched.
Can you imagine what might have happened had it been Stevie Williams on the bag?
The guy then proceeded to move to the side and looked like he was going to make some swings.
Finally security intervened and took the man away, returning Rory’s iron and driver headcover.
So, for his lack of diligence, Harry goes to the Dog House where the dogs will teach him to be a better “guard dog” for his man.
