Add some wind to the Seaview Golf Club and things got a lot tougher on Saturday at the LPGA ShopRite Classic.
The easy scoring from Friday went away and with tougher scoring conditions, the player who handled even tougher conditions last week, is now in the lead heading to Sunday.
Jeongeun Lee6, the U.S. Open champion, shot a two-under par 69 and is the 36-hole leader at 10-under, the only player in double digits under par.
She’s take a one-shot lead over American Mariah Stackhouse into the finale.
Lexi Thompson will have a chance to make up for her woes last Sunday. She birdied her final hole of the day, the par five ninth and moved to eight-under par, just two back of the leader. She’s tied there with fellow American Ally McDonald (67) and Norway’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen.
