Tom Edrington

Tom Edrington spent the first 10 years of his misguided youth as a sports writer for the Tampa Tribune. His career brought him face to face with many of sports greatest stars -- Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Muhammad Ali, Don Shula, countless Hall of Fame NFL stars, more PGA Tour players than he can count. In 1980 he was honored by the Golf Writers Association of America for writing the best news story that year, his coverage of Jack Nicklaus' U.S. Open victory at Baltusrol. Today, 36 years later, golf is still a great part of his life, thanks to competitive playing days and the wonderful people he has met on this fabulous journey.

Tigers back can handle 3 warm weeks. It’s one chilly day That gets him.
Let’s all hope his serious back injuries are a thing if the past, but old man stiffness is a reasonable expectation for Tiger.

Tigers 2019 so far will be remembered for the Masters win but also those two majors with questionable preparation to say the least.
Btw I wouldn’t scoff at any top 10 Tom.
But Tiger has basically said he chose to chill his hot hand after the Masters.
Then More respectably he went on what must have been an exhausting family vacay for a man who if not focusing on golf chills on the couch; Many of of us can relate.

The “playoffs” are clearly Tigers other focus outside the majors; literally answering whom wouldn’t focus on 15$ million? No one. Even tiger would.
I don’t believe tiger WDs even if he wins. But I don’t see tiger winning before East Lake.
It is very reasonable Tiger plays himself into form the next 3 events an ties the record at Bobby’s.
He did something like that in the run up to his wins at East Lake and Augusta.
Yes Hogan played only majors and won one year, but that was in the 50s. This is now the 20s and I ain’t talking the roaring ones, this is an era where preparations are just as critical as talent… Even for tiger woods.
