Tony Romo took up a spot in the Price Cutter Charity Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour this week.
He played only a few holes before he withdrew with the same wrist injury that knocked him out of the American Century Golf Classic after two rounds.
Romo, knowing he was injured, shouldn’t have taken that spot and let some young, more deserving professional have the place in the field.
Tony Romo’s next destination is the DogLegNews Dog House.
The dogs are looking forward to licking Tony’s ailing wrist to help in the healing process.
A couple of the dog are looking forward to Tony’s visit — they’re Cowboy fans. So perhaps Tony can tell them about all the playoff wins the Cowboys recorded with Tony at the helm.

I have to agree.
If Vijay takes a KF spot everyone complains even more than when some rich retired footballer takes their job. I don’t get that.
At least Vijays withdrawal, which came because of all the whining, gave plenty of time to find a replacement. That’s because Vijay is a pro golfer and understands these things. Tony is mostly just there for fun. Hopefully he learns next time to wd sooner because actual professionals need the work.

I suppose a case can be made for Tony to sit out for now. He is a good player but, at his current talent level, he really can’t compete with touring professionals. Unless he can improve to that level he should play for fun and not take a spot from others more qualified. As far as injuries go, all of us that have played golf for any length of time have injuries. Usually we can play through them. Occasionally they get worse as we play and it’s better to sit out. It’s a tough call in advance.

Left wrist is an entirely different animal, you just can’t play if it’s the least bit questionable and his certainly was going back to Lake Tahoe, he WD there; That being said, he would have struggled to handle Mardy Fish so no way he’s going to be the least bit competitive in a Korn Ferry event….takes up the spot of a young, upcoming hopeful.
